Athletics

There is always something for everyone in a PE class at Lehrman: stretching, balance, and coordination for the little ones, fundamental skills for the middle years, and teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play as they grow older.

Through our multi-dimensional curriculum, our physical education staff works with students in Early Childhood through Grade 5. Students are taught the proper mechanics to perform various sports while improving their physical characteristics by focusing on strength, endurance, balance, flexibility and coordination, and developing
appropriate social skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship and teamwork.

Students play individual and team sports that are age-appropriate and are always in a positive and supportive environment. Children who incorporate fitness into their daily routine tend to develop regular exercise habits, which are important elements of physical and mental health, ensuring they will make healthy lifestyle choices in the future.
