Our hearts and minds are with the people of Israel and we emphatically continue to stand strong with Am Yisrael! In these difficult times, it is natural to wonder how you can make a meaningful impact. We hope the resources on this page are helpful to you.
Our hearts may be broken, but our spirit remains strong. Sending prayers of strength and peace for Israel and for Jews worldwide.
Supporting Your Children
We know that these times are difficult to navigate for families, and want to offer parents some resources as you process with your children. Please reach out to the following staff if there are ways we can provide extra support to you, your student(s) and families:
Send a Letter to Israel
The Jewish Agency for Israel, in cooperation with their partners at the Ministry of Education, have invited North American day schools to show our support and solidarity by sending messages of deep caring.
There are two sets of letters being requested: educator to educator and student to student.
We suggest typing your letters, so that they are easily read. If writing in Hebrew is possible, that would be wonderful. If writing the letter in English by hand, please write in block letters, rather than in cursive script.
As you can imagine, Israeli educators are under tremendous pressure at this time. The Jewish Agency requests that we please prioritize writing to them first.
When your letter is complete, please email it to Jodi Bruce (jbruce@lehrmanschool.org) or bring it to her in her office.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Forces, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God, from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May the Almighty cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighters from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under our soldiers’ sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is the Lord your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
