Lehrman Community Day School

Step 1: For all applicants

Submit the Family Information Form to the Admissions office with the $75.00 non-refundable application fee. Please make check payable to LCDS.

Step 2:
Turning Twos, Toddler, Nursery and Pre-K:

First Payment Upon Registration (FPUR), 5% of Tuition, will ensure
your child's place in a Turning Two through Pre-K class.

Step 2:
Grades K through 5
Records and Recommendations :

Submit the Permissions for Release of Records and Transcript to your child's current school, along with the Principal and Teacher Recommendation Form(s) to the current teacher(s) and administrator.

Step 3:
Grades K through 5

Testing and Screening: All students are required to come to Lehrman to spend time in a classroom of their peers for a screening, as well as an opportunity for them to meet some of their potential classmates. At that time, students applying for grades K through 5 will also be tested at the school in basic skills in reading, writing, and math.

Step 4:
Grade 4 and above

Chats and Interviews:
• Interview with the Director of Admissions.
• All parents will have a chat with the Director of Admissions either when they bring their child for screening/testing or their child's interview, or at the time of the tour.
